Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation Lab

Description:
This instrument determines the value of the quantity to be measured directly. Generally these instruments are calibrated by comparing with another standard secondary instrument. Examples of such instruments are voltmeter, ammeter and wattmeter etc. Practically secondary instruments are suitable for measurement.

Materials Science is the discovery, design and manufacture of the next generation of materials with applications to new energy systems, sustainable water, space systems, telecommunications, manufacturing, transportation, security and more.

MATERIAL SCIENCE LAB

Description:
The Materials Science Labs allows for the evaluation, development and redesign of materials for specific properties and improved performance characteristics. Correlative characterization and tomography of material properties for computer-based simulations and analysis can be undertaken.

Power Electronics Lab

Description:
The objective of Power electronics laboratory is to conduct the practical’s of UG Course Power Electronics. Lab enhances the students by providing them the better understanding of concepts & working of advanced power semiconductor devices & power electronics circuits.

Main components of this Lab comprised of single Phase Half & Fully controlled converter, three phase Full converter, Speed Control of DC motor,20 MHz Dual Channel power scope. The Power Electronics.

Analog And Digital Electronics Lab

Description:
The Laboratory designated to perform quiet core electronics sessions especially for Electronic Devices and Circuits. Lab comprised of variety of CRO, Function Generators, Digital Multimeter, Power Supplies. For sake of skill development amongst students Lab encompasses most of the Practical’s on Breadboard to feel like actual Circuit Designing and Testing.

High Voltage Lab

Description:
High-voltage engineering is knowledge about power transmission at high voltages and about stress on equipment used in high-voltage transmission systems. The basis for the design of high-voltage equipment is stress on the insulation by the electric field, whereby the stress magnitude depends on the voltage type.

Switch Gear Protection Lab

Description:
Switchgear is an integral part of an electric power system. Switchgear includes fuses, switches, relays, isolators, circuit breaker, potential and current transformer, indicating device, lightning arresters, etc. that protects electrical hardware from faulty conditions.. The circuit protection devices are mounted in metal structures.
Features:
Electrical switchgear refers to a centralized collection of circuit breakers, fuses and switches (circuit protection devices) that function to protect, control and isolate electrical equipment.

Electrical Machine-I& II Lab

Description:
All types of DC Machines, single phase and three phase squirrel cage and slip ring induction motors, single-phase and three phase transformers, suitable starters and loading arrangements for machines, measuring instruments of all types needed for the laboratory experiments and also sub-standard meters meant for calibration.
Features:
The Electrical Machines Laboratory is utilised by all branches of students for lab work and project work. All these facilities are used by the teachers for research and development work.

Description:
