Unix Lab
Description:
The main focus of this lab is Dual-Boot with UNIX/ Windows. The operating system UNIX and the many different versions of UNIX are studied. Although they share common similarities, the most popular varieties of UNIX are Sun Solaris, GNU/ Linux. The students are introduced to the function, internal data structures, and operations of operating systems and their associated file systems. Students are introduced to a graphical user interface (GUI) similar to Microsoft Windows which provides an easy to use environment.
